In 2009, Bruce Gesick and Mike Jones pooled their talents and formed Slater & Son Concrete division at DH Slater & Son, Inc., Design Build General Contractor. At the time Bruce and Mike had over 30 years full package concrete contractor experience delivering complete new ground up commercial concrete projects from $500,000 to $15 million. After 3 successful years, Bruce and Mike bought the division, separated from DH Slater, and formed Gesick Concrete, Inc. They set out to capitalize on their growing reputation as the premier flat slab place & finish contractor.
With their own equipment and trained personnel, Gesick Concrete, Inc has the ability to control a quick-paced schedule and deliver a product with an emphasis on quality. Today, Gesick Concrete, Inc has many repeat self-performing general contractor and concrete subcontractor place & finish clients that rely on their services because they approach every project with careful attention to detail.
Since their inception, Gesick Concrete, Inc has been recognized in the industry with prestigious Golden Trowel Awards, only a few of which are awarded each year at the World of Concrete Convention. Most recently Gesick Concrete, Inc was awarded a Golden Trowel for Wide Bay Super Flat Defined Traffic slab on grade at the Preferred Freezer project in San Leandro, CA.
Today, Gesick Concrete, Inc is based out of Sacramento, CA and performing work in Northern and Central California. Their talented workforce, innovation and exceptional communications are a direct result from leadership and cross training practices. Having the ability to use their field workers in various capacities ensures no project being too large or too technical to exceed the desired results of ownership and developers.
